Is anyone else DYING over the top 2012 wedding colors? Seriously... these are GORGEOUS! As much as I love all of them, I am pretty sure my favorite palates are the bottom two. I am obsessed with light pinks and grays right now. What are your favorites? This has made me VERY excited for the upcoming wedding season. :) :) :)

Here is the cutest boy on earth! He will be 2 in a few short months and I STILL can't get over HOW much joy he brings to my life. Basically what I am saying, is that you'll just have to get use to me saying this, because I don't see it going away anytime soon! He IS a stinker when it comes time to getting his picture taken, but I thought these were a lot of fun. The very first one is one of my top favs and am submitting this one in the next few days to have it blown up.

I truly don't think anything could bring this bride down on her wedding day. She was positively glowing and so radiant! It was with out a doubt, the happiest day of her life! Even the nasty blizzard, high winds and FREEZING COLD weather that blew in when they came out of the temple didn't put a damper on these two. Nope! They just WENT with it! I had shot a wedding the day before with the stomach flu and was still recovering while shooting this one. I am so grateful for this couple's amazing good nature, upbeat personalities and kindness. It TRULY made things a little easier for me to just feel better! By the end of the evening, I was even more sad that Starlee was moving to Dubai because I know we would have become really close. In fact, we have had SEVERAL long (long distance) conversations already and I seriously ADORE her!

I LOVE weddings. I seriously do. Although I love photographing all aspects of life and art, Weddings truly are at the top of my list! Besides actually SHOOTING the wedding, I am OBSESSED with designing wedding albums. They are so much fun. I don't use any templates at all, I do everything homemade and by scratch. To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Last year, I ended up having to choose a different album venue. At first it was a hard choice and I was overwhelmed! When I came across THESE albums, my mind was made up 100%! The reason I LOVE these albums so much is because they are timeless and very classy. The customer service is perfect and I have been more then happy with the end results-EVERYTIME! All of my brides have LOVED their wedding album. My sister got married this past year and she is SUPER artsy, so I was a little (ok, a lot) intimidated when it came to her album. You guys, she was GIDDY when she got it!! My sister is NOT a giddy person! One other bride emailed me when she got hers and was EXTREMLY happy with every aspect about it. Seriously, it has made me one happy photographer/designer!

As you can see, there are LOTS of choices between color and texture. There are over 20 to choose from!

The albums come in either a 10x10 or 12x12 size.

This cover was my artsy sister's album. Totally suits her and man is this cover STUNNING!

This is one of my FAVORITE solid covers. It's called slate and it's almost a metallic looking cover. I had one bride order one and she LOVED it! When another bride stopped by to pick up her wedding pictures, she saw this cover and died over it. She ended up changing to this cover as well and is smitten with it. I to loved it so much I made a sample album to show clients.

These albums come in a very classy, professional and sturdy box. So when those cute babies start coming along, you'll have something besides just a sac cloth to protect them in!

As you can see, they also come with a sac cloth for the EXTRA protection and great storage! Look how gorgeous this looks!

This was one AMAZING wedding! The bride & groom are really laid back and know how to have a good time. The whole family is super fun and not of the serious nature at all. This makes for a very fun job for me! One thing I observed from this couple that I adore, is that they are VERY family oriented. At some point during the wedding, I saw Alicia rip a flower out of her bouquet and gave it to one of the little girls at the temple. I was quite impressed. Not many brides would do that you know? I was so happy to have been apart of their big day! I couldn't narrow down very well, so grab a cup of hot chocolate and settle in for a bit! Thank you SO MUCH to my BEAUTIFUL twin brides for sending this couple my way!!! :)

I absolutely LOVE how this wedding came together! Kiera wanted everything just perfect and I think she accomplished just that. This girl was ONE HAPPY BRIDE and it really shows in her portraits. She truly did have a gorgeous wedding. They had such an amazing turn out of guests at their reception as well. Kiera also came to my Bridal Fair this weekend and hung out in my booth. So sweet right? She seriously sang my praises to every bride that stopped by. I was so grateful for her kindness!

This year's Bridal Fair at Thanksgiving Point was AMAZING! There were so many darling brides that I meant and I also met some amazing vendors!! Here's a look at what this years booth looked like! Lincoln is the most mischievous little boy EVER! He seriously thinks he's the funniest boy as well. I have to admit, he is pretty hysterical. That kid is so hard to stay mad at. He is still doing so very well and we haven't had any throwing up at all in close to two weeks! Adenoids and Tubes are a blessing to have taken care of. Here is a little project I put together for Lincoln's grandparents and dad for Christmas. Of course this little idea was everywhere on Pinterest and I had to have my own! Grandma Ward cried when she opened hers. They were a big hit!

This fall, I took a TON of family portraits up in Idaho (yes, I am still working on getting them all blogged!) and we had really liked this location a lot. Jory's brother offered to take some family pics for us if I had set everything up. He did quite well! So here is this years Christmas Card!

Yes I am obsessed with my cute boy. So what? As a mom, I have decided that you'll never regret having TOO many photographs of your baby. Sure he's not a baby anymore, but so what if that's what I call him you know? I LOVE this boy-1 million red Twizzlers and then some!! I've been doing a lot of studio work lately and I truly love it! Studio lighting can be hard but I DO love the challenge of it all! I originally cropped these to a square, but with the white background, you just can't tell! ha ha ha... Lincoln had some good times with this huge ornament. He is ALL boy and so of course just wanted to throw the ball everywhere-as you can see in a few of these images!

And yes, this ornament IS in mid air! Love it...

CHRISTMAS HOURS: I still have a HUGE stack of orders and several wedding albums that need to be picked up. Due to my son having surgery next week and wanting to spend more quality time with my family, ALL ODERS NEED TO BE PICK UP NO LATER THEN WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 21 @ 6PM. Orders not picked up by then will be available for pick up December 28. Depending on how Little Man does after surgery, we may leave town to see family for the Christmas Holidays and won't be back until that time. A Quick Preview

I have been having A DAY! We thought my car was fixed (properly) and today we found out that we just threw $1,000 to the wind and were told by who fixed it we're just "screwed out of that money." WHAT has happened to good customer service and standing behind the work you do?? No Integrity! What a nightmare. Needless to say I have been quite DEPRESSED over it! Lesson learned-NEVER GO TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP IN AMERICAN FORK!!!! This message goes out to ALL my readers. I hope this NEVER happens to any of you!

On to better things right? I did a session up in Ogden for 2 BEAUTIFUL girls. I am so dang happy with how beautiful their session turned out! Due to today's events, I only have a few previews for you! I will get more soon though. Aren't they GORGEOUS? I can't wait to share the rest of them!

Dash's Birth Story

I seriously have ALWAYS wanted to shoot a birth story. I don't know why, but I think they are amazing! Of course, most women don't want a camera in there taking photos every step of the way right? I know I wouldn't have wanted one there. Now... I DO!! I told my sister I wanted to shoot a birth story of her boy. She just raised her eye brows at me like I was a whack job! I kept telling her how beautiful some of them can be. I think I almost had her convinced.

However, us Bennett girls like to go out with a bang when it comes to deliveries. Apparently c-sections is becoming our specialty around here. Sadly, she went for the same reasons I did. After being induced and being in labour over 15 hours, water breaking and progressing from a nothing to a 2 in that amount of time, she was wheeled in for a C-Section. This brought back A LOT of memories and emotions for me. I was FREAKING out inside. I was SCARED for her. I tried to keep my emotions in check and put on a brave face for her.

Everything turned out BETTER then we expected and she was a rockstar at recovery! Her sweet little boy is here and I have LOVED taking lots (and I mean LOTS) of cute pics of this little man! Here's what we got from that day!

The Davis Hospital is beautiful...

Lincs was wanting to run like a wild man through the hospital! Hallways are FUN for little men like him!

So we took turns going on walks with him. Poor kid!

We had to do something fun while the Dr was in there and we got kicked out of the room right?

Here is our fist look at little Dash Man right after the C-Section. It was an emotional moment for me! My little sister is a MOM!!! And I think the new dad is a little in shock!

This morning I woke up and thought today would be a great day to take some studio pics of my little Lincoln. Normally we are an outdoor type of family. However, if you know our boy, you know that just isn't the best idea because of HOW active he is. He will just run and run-happy as can be. Besides, it's cold for his age. I was pretty nervous that we weren't going to get a thing because he really is such a (cute) stinker. I am MORE then happy with the out come. Today I am grateful for modern medicine and amazing doctors that know how to take care of their patients and babies! My little sister unexpectedly had her very first baby last night. Unfortunately she ended up in a C-Section like I did. I am not going to lie, I was a nervous wreck the whole time. I didn't want her to have to go through half the experience I did. Luckily, she didn't. The baby made it here safely and they are both doing great! Here is the newest member of our family!

I have a super busy weekend ahead of me! I am leaving for Logan tonight to shoot a wedding tomorrow and then back down here to shoot a wedding on Friday. This was probably the SHORTEST mini session I have EVER done-I mean like 10 mins! There was a storm rolling in and so we decided to just shoot until the rain came. Well, it came and it got dark fast! I haven't used a flash for portraits in a LONG time. This family is just gorgeous though. I mean LOOK at those parents! Beautiful kids, wow. You WILL be seeing more of them down the road! =D

How about I post something that isn't a family session? I have like 20 more coming up-not joke! Sometimes, our eyes just need a little coffee beans though!

Over the summer, I was out shooting with a girlfriend and she told me I needed to try her Macro lens. Ummm... yes please! Can I just tell you, it was HARD! I LOVED it and want to keep going with it though. Here are a few of the images I took. Don't mind the fact that some of them aren't very in focused, it was my first time and they still look artsy to me.

I am in love with fall and all its aspects! I love shooting in the fall. This beautiful bride wanted falls colors for her bridals. We did her bridals the day that we got all that bad (but needed) weather. More to come.

Seriously. LOVE how this session turned out! What a gorgeous little family and I am IN LOVE with this location!

This week... I am doing mini sessions in Farmington and in Duchane (did I even spell that right?) Next week I will be in Logan for a wedding and and will do a FEW family sessions up there. I am in love with this session. I am a sucker for sun flares, but when you take images of a feisty little 4 year old, you pretty much just shoot candids. Which is clearly ok as these turned out so very beautiful!
